Just dropping you a line to thank you for your part in what turned out to be a terrific trip to Argentina. The trip was really enjoyable and very well organised. I can't praise the Argentinian tour company highly enough, particularly our guide whose help and expertise made the whole trip run very smoothly in a time when there was a few hiccups with Argentine Airlines. I would have been lost (literally) without him.Anyway, thanks for a great holiday and I look forward to travelling with Beacon again next year,
All the best,Michael.

Thanks for your help in organising and holding bookings for us. We'd never have managed to arrange the whole trip in 2 weeks otherwise
Thanks for recommending El Calafate and the glaciers - it was amazing!
I would highly recommend the mini-trekking on the Petito Moreno glacier. It was the highlight of the holiday. Anyone going on this mini-hike should be reasonably fit, not have any problems with legs or knees (it's very hard on both!) , wear suitable walking shoes or preferably boots, and warm clothes. In fact, if you've only got the money for one trip this is the one to do!
The Sierra Nevada hotel in El Calafate is excellent. The staff are very nice, the rooms are very comfortable, and the location is perfect - only 5 mins walk to the middle of the main street. El Calafate is much more expensive to eat out than anywhere else in Argentina. However, the hotel restaurant has extremely good quality food, and is cheaper than most of the restaurants on the main street. They also do a really good breakfast!
The Aerolineas staff here are VERY strict about the size/weight of hand luggage to be brought on board regardless of the size of plane. The cabin baggage allowance is only 5KG - ie a small bag. Fortunately,we were told about this issue on the way to the airport .We didn't encounter this on any other internal flight - even though the same rules should apply!
The Dazzler Tower hotel on St Martin in BA is in a great location - especially for a spot of last minute shopping before you come home. It is also only approx 15 mins walk to the Puerto Madero area for a riverside walk, museum boats and restaurants

Myself and Stephanie are writing to you to thank you for making our Honeymoon a most memorable on in Argentina and Brazil, it was simply amazing.
Buenos Aires: The Sofitel Buesos Aires Hotel is simply the best run hotel we have ever stayed in, the staff were fantastic and met every need of their Customers, we can not praise the place anymore highly. Rodregaz met us at the airport and brought us to the hotel, and likewise brought us to the airport for our transfer to Mendoza, he also helped us check in.
Mendoza: We stayed in Lares de Chacras, this was an outstanding Accommodation, so well run and real family orientated, we both loved it and they were so welcoming to us and and again an amazingly run place. T
Our guide and without a shadow of a doubt the best tour guide we have ever come across, she was excellent and her knowledge of everything was top class.
Rio De Janeiro: We stayed in the beautiful Porto Bay International Hotel, we had a stunning view of the Copacabana Beach, very well run hotel and a brilliant rooftop swimming pool with a fab view of the city. Solange was our guide who met us and she gave us loads of different options on types of tours we could do.
Buzios: We stayed in the Casas Brancas Hotel, quite simpley our favourite hotel on the whole trip not least because of the stunning ocean view room we stayed in, it was breathtaking and a very well run establishment. Buzios is simply beautiful and and it capped a wonderful honeymoon for us.
So thank you again, you created a trip of a lifetime for myself and my partner. I will be suggesting your company to many of my friends who are considering going travelling to South America. We will be going back in a few years with a bit of luck and we won't hesitate to get in touch with Beacon South America.

We really enjoyed our time in both Chile and Argentina and wish it had been longer. The people we met from your agents, hotels, tours, restaurants, locals etc were, without exception courteous, friendly and enthusiastic and made us feel welcome in their country. We would have no hesitation in recommending any of them. The trips we took were all enjoyable, educational and entertaining and very comprehensive. We were particularly taken by southern Patagonia and would now love to go back and explore the northern part of Argentina at some stage. The Andes and the glaciers trip were great experiences but the whale watching at Cape Valdes was probably the highlight of many on the overall trip. That day was made particularly enjoyable by Felicitas our guide for the day. As regards quality and value for money we found eating out was a very good experience in most places on both counts. Those steaks and Patagonic lamb! The Malbec is a completely different experience without the sulphites. The Tablita restaurant in El Calafate, the Colones in Puerto Madryn, Florencia on Sarmiento Street in Mendoza and El Chacras on Cordoba Street in Buenos Aires were possible the best along with the one right beside the San Francisco hotel in Santiago. The hotels you chose were all very conveniently located and of good quality.
The Esplendor in El Calafate was the best by far that we stayed in on the trip. The design, and decor are very impressive and service was first class
Lastly, we must mention the Elevage in Buenos Aires - a lovely hotel and very well located. I felt a litle unwell on the last two days there (all since checked out and OK) and the hotel staff were most helpful and considerate to us.
May we close by thanking your for you assistance and patience in organising our trip and helping to make it so enjoyable.

| We wanted to drop you a line to say thank you very much for organising our trip to Costa Rica over the past fortnight. Wed I had an absolutely fabulous time and were really impressed with both Costa Rica and your tour company. Everything was so well-organised, with absolutely no issues whatsoever, the accommodation in every location was of the highest standard and the activities scheduled both relevant and very enjoyable. We particularly loved Hotel Kioro at La Fortuna / Arenal despite the camera-shy volcano behind the clouds.
I would have no hesitation using beaconsouthamerica.com and Shandon Travel again and will recommend your service to all our friends. We really appreciate you tailoring the trip to meet our requirements.

Thanks you so much for organising a fantastic trip to Costa Rica. Every aspect was just perfect. The, Hotel Grano de Oro, in San José is a stunning hotel. The Tortuguero package was really well organised and the guide was excellent.
Tortugeuro is famous for the sea turtle breeding and even though we were at the end of the hatching season we did manage to see some baby turtles heading out to sea. Also all of the wildlife and the rain forests are really interesting. Next we headed to Arenal and we managed to see the famous volcano erupting and lava flowing from it. Really spectacular stuff. The weather was hot and humid and although we had a few showers the rain didn’t dampen our enthusiasm.
Then the last leg of the trip was the beach extension in Tamarindo. While our hotel was of a really high standard, Tamarindo itself is so underdeveloped. I couldn’t believe there were no roads!! But don’t worry it didn’t take from the enjoyment of the beautiful beach and lovely hotel.
It was such a great trip, thanks to your brilliant organisation and you accommodated all of our whims.

Just wanted to send you a note to thank you for organising a fantastic honeymoon for us. We had a brillant time.Argentina and Brazil really are wonderful countries.
The accomodation was excellent- loved the Art Hotel in Buneos Aires- really cool place and helpful staff. I don't think the words exist to describe how amazing Llao Llao is- the service was unbelievable, staff so friendly and professional, beautiful room, great food, amazing setting. Likewise our hotel in El Calafante was brillant. The tours were great especially the glaciers (tour guide was Daniel and he was excellent) and Rio.
I will be recommending you highly to anyone who even shows a hint of interest in travelling to South America.
Thanks again

We are back from our honeymoon and I just want to say Thank you so much for organising everything.
We had an amazing trip, everything was so well organised, from the drivers and guides to the hotels and excursions, we didn't have to think about anything, and had the flexibility to move excursions depending on weather/flights etc.
The hotels were amazing especially The Posada Los Alamos and the Rio International and the guides at Igazzu and the Amazon were fantastic.
Thanks for organising a great trip, I have recommended you to everyone I have spoken to, and we'll be back for our next trip to South America.

Had a really fantastic time away! Was sorry to have to come back. All the hotels were great and the guides were excellent. Got so much more out of it than if I'd organised it myself so I was absolutely delighted with it. Will definitely be going back to South America in the near future.
Thank you so much for all your help and professionalism. I've recommended you to all my friends so hopefully you might get a few more bookings out of it.
Thanks again for a wonderful experience!
Kind regards,
