This tour which covers the most important attractions of the area in just one day. In the morning you have the choice of two activities, either a guided hike at Arenal Hanging Bridges through the rainforest, or a river float on Rio Peñas Blancas to observe nature. After this activity, we will drive to 70 meters high La Fortuna Waterfall. Return to La Fortuna for lunch. In the afternoon you will enjoy a guided walking tour at Arenal Volcano National Park and end the day with some relaxing hours at Tabacón Hot Springs. (Please read the safety warnings under the description of the region). Dinner at Tabacón and return to your hotel.

Horseback Tour from or to La Fortuna/Arenal Volcan

This is an interesting tour combined with a transfer all in one. You will enjoy a 3 hours horseback ride through the cloud forest and along pasture down to Lake Arenal. The enormous biodiversity and especially the large amount of birds will certainly impress you. At Rio Chiquito we get on board of a boat, which will take us over the lake until we reach the dam near the active Arenal Volcano. We continue our journey by microbus to your hotel in the area of La Fortuna/Arenal Volcano. You can also book this tour the other way round from La Fortuna to Monteverde. Due to climate conditions, this tour can only be booked from December to April.

Mountain-Bike Tour

We will pick you up at the hotel and drive to the dam of Lake Arenal. That’s where we continue with our mountain bikes driving on gravel roads through the forest and at the foot of Arenal Volcano along the Lake. You will enjoy the nice views over the lake and the volcano, being able to observe monkeys, sloths and coatis.
